Born in the 1930s when two Portuguese merchants asked IWC for a wristwatch with the precision of a marine chronometer, the Portugieser has been a study in clean, railway-track elegance ever since.

The IWC Portugieser Chronograph, Reference IW371404, in stainless steel. 41mm case with a slim polished bezel and a solid caseback. Black dial with a railway-track minute scale and silvered subdials — the sought-after 'reverse panda' layout — with a small-seconds counter at 6 and a 30-minute counter at 12. Fitted on an alligator leather strap with a steel buckle.

Powered by the IWC Calibre 79350, a self-winding chronograph movement with a 44-hour power reserve, 31 jewels, and a 4 Hz (28,800 vph) frequency.
