The Rolex Sky-Dweller arrived in 2012 as the most technically ambitious watch Rolex had introduced in decades. Where most Rolex complications are evolved from decades-old foundations, the Sky-Dweller was built around an entirely new architecture - the Saros annual calendar system and the Ring Command bezel - neither of which had existed in a Rolex before. For a brand defined by iteration and refinement, it was a statement of a different kind.

The Saros annual calendar is the practical heart of the watch. Unlike a perpetual calendar that accounts for every month length automatically, the annual calendar requires only a single manual correction per year - at the end of February. The month is displayed not through a conventional window but through 12 apertures positioned around the circumference of the dial, one for each month, with a red indicator marking the current one. It reads like a clock face for the year. The dual time zone function sits on an off-center 24-hour disc, marked by a fixed red triangle on the dial, giving the wearer a simultaneous read of home time and local time at a glance.

What makes the 336934 particularly compelling is how it delivers all of this within the White Rolesor configuration - an 18k white gold fluted bezel set against a 904L Oystersteel case and black dial. The fluted bezel is one of Rolex's most enduring design signatures, and in white gold it reads as dress watch refinement while the Jubilee bracelet and bold 42mm case ensure the watch has genuine wrist presence. The Ring Command bezel - which allows all functions to be set via the crown without corrector pushers - is both an engineering achievement and a design solution, keeping the case completely clean of buttons or additional complications.

Powering it is the Caliber 9002, Rolex's dedicated Sky-Dweller movement, COSC Superlative Chronometer certified to within +/-2 seconds per day, with a 72-hour power reserve and blue Parachrom hairspring for magnetic and shock resistance.

This 2024 example presents in excellent condition with light to no wear, complete with full original set intact.
